How Bad Do You Want It? And, Welcome To My Blogathon. And, I Witnessed Barefoot Girls in Chick Fil A.

Welcome to the Blogathon. I will be blogging during the month of May. You will not only get North Dallas Homegirl, you will get North Dallas Homegirl Overload.

Oh,
dear.

Dear Readers:

Disclaimer: A Random Topic. Today.

I "recently" tried for a job that required LOTS of physical training. As well as other things. I did not get it.

After all of the events (exercising) and effort that led up to the aftermath, I am pondering something new, that I did not expect to ponder! How much does "how bad do you want it?" come into play??
Desire and determination are such required items, that I am wondering: can you make yourself achieve something, if you want it bad enough?
Are there different forms of wanting something, if so, how do you get to the highest level?

I have a friend--she is nameless--I will call her J.-- who encouraged me to kick butt and be hungry during the physical training. Right now I am thinking, even though I did not get to the actual physical test, she is still a blessing. Possibly even the best blessing to come out of my trying for the job.

Moving along:
(The following event was at Chick Fil A, off of LBJ Freeway in Dallas).
I saw two barefoot girls in Chick Fil A. The girls were about 6, and 8 years old, around that age. Both were well-dressed. They did not seem to be doing it out of poverty.
I'll preface by saying it is kind of silly, and dare I say, low-class, to not wear shoes in Chick Fil A.

The girls were playing and walking around, and I'm sure obviously enjoy having their shoes more off, than on. It makes sense to them.

What I'm wondering, is, why did their mom let them do it?

If I was a mom, I could not picture myself saying to a 6-year-old, "Sure honey, why don't you take your shoes off? WHO NEEDS SHOES?"

The mean mom is lurking.

Goodbye, Happy may day,
Alice
