Richard Bach was recently injured in a plane crash, and is now recovering.
In the 1970s he wrote a book that inspired a movie, with a soundtrack by none other than Neil Diamond.

The other day I ran in a 1/2 marathon. I saw a couple of runners that had a shirt that said, basically,
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Ok, I guess it's Phillipians 4:13.
It's not some made-up quote.
The point: Wow, I thought. If I only had a shirt that said that, I could instantly do all things ... like win the lottery?
(There is no dis intended for any church-going friends).

Here Is My Sunday Post And, Check Out Marcel Hall's Video. Was He Really Just A Friend?

Since I promised myself I would continue the blogathon (and I have to beat Gloria! I am just kidding), here is my Sunday post.
The Dallas International Festival (Wow. I didn't even know we had one. Just found out) was held yesterday. It's too late to go this year, but you can always go in 2013!
Music News: There is currently none. However, if you want to see Biz Markie, check out this video. Was he really just a friend?

Visit Lake Cliff Park If You Are A Friend Of Oak Cliff. Also My Observation At Watermark Church. And Steve Jobs' Speech.
Dear all,
I passed a park in Oak Cliff (Dallas) that I want to visit more extensively one day. I have passed it lots of times, but the other day, I paused to look at it more closely, and noticed that the lake in the center is larger than I thought. It is Lake Cliff Park. Scroll down to the second park, after you--of course--click on the link and you will see it. (44 acres!)
I attended Watermark Church today in Dallas... after being invited by a friend.
During one active pre-service song, images were shown on a 2 large screens of the church community's members being baptized in a small pool of water that I believe is near the church. Everyone looked too happy and smiley.
In the images, everyone, including 2 or 3 people assisting the believer, had waded into the water about waist-deep. May work for some, but Huh??
I like the Catholic way of baptism, where they just dip the baby in water for a few moments, or sprinkle the child with water.
The same goal is achieved; it's less stressful for the baby and everyone involved.
A "special" segment I have no idea why I'm calling Did You Know?:
If you watch the video, watch out for the annoying graduation music, which plays while he is talking. I don't think I even liked that music when I graduated.
This web site contains great clothes to wear to Bingo Night, A Whichever-Tickets-You-Can-Get concert, or just anywhere.
I would say the offerings on the site push the boundary, but this is not a fashion blog.

"I Am Too Positive To Be Doubtful." 500 Singleton. And, Quinceaneras Know How To Party.
Dear amateur blog critics:
My friend sent me this message recently, which she found posted somewhere else:
"I am too positive to be doubtful. Too optimistic to be fearful. And too determined to be defeated."
This message can apply to anything you are doing, small OR large. So, go be positive!
And fearless.
I talked recently about a "theater" at 500 Singleton Boulevard. (The web site may contain graphic images, which I have nothing to do with!)
Their current play is called Flesh World.
On their web site, the inventors of 500 Singleton Boulevard state, "We simply do things the way we want to do it, where, and how, because we don't know what else to do." Sounds interesting... They also state, "Our emphasis is on new, experimental, and collectively created work that defies categories and conventions." Actually, doesn't every great work (it could be a movie, or a book) "defy" a "category" or "convention"?
Even though the review for Flesh World contained the word anthropomorphic, which I did not know and had to look up... maybe you should see the play and decide for yourself what you think. Details are on the web site (above).
Verizon Wireless is offering a promotion for those about to have a quinceanera called, "My Fabulous Quince."
So tell all the 14-year-olds you know to start planning their fiesta. No booze, young lady!!!
