Welcome to my little piece of the blogosphere. During your visits to my blog you will see postings sometimes about music. I will talk about my favorite artists. I will talk about events and places to go. Since I am currently living at home, I'm North Dallas Homegirl and weblogista (Yes, I've been cracking myself up for 8 years).

Ideas From The Cutting Room Floor... Well, My Floor
Here are some ideas that hit the cutting room floor (i.e., did not make it into the blog!)
1. A video of me commenting on news articles, things from magazines, and the like.
REASON it was cut: Really I am a teenage mutant ninja turtle.
2. A companion blog called, South Dallas Apartment Girl. REASON it was cut: Believe it or not, it would actually be too expensive.
3. Silly Things People Complain About post. REASON: It would just be too long.
Major decorating news!!
If you are interested in interior decorating, giving a boost to your lame garden, or even storm shelters! (who isn't?) then visit this link.

Hey Kids, Shouldn't You Be Doing Homework? And, Concert Alert!
I was driving yesterday. It was about 6:30 p.m. on the LBJ Freeway (Lyndon B. Johnson--the B is for Baines).
Suddenly I noticed 3 kids, all under the age of 12, waving from a walkway above the traffic.
Nobody else seemed to be waving. For some reason I feel bad when kids wave at cars, and I don't wave back.
I waved. It probably made their night.
They must have come from one of the neighborhoods nearby.
This gave me pause to think, wait! It's not summer! What are they doing just hanging out near LBJ? Shouldn't they be doing homework, or something like that?
Concert Alert! Concert Alert! There is a free concert, Sat. March 23, NEAR First Presbyterian Church (The Stewpot) in Dallas, TX. The concert takes place from 4 pm until 7 pm. The concert will be down the street, at 508 Park Avenue. There is more information on the site for 508 Park Ave.
I am told that Hunter Hendrickson and Holland K. Smith will be there. It should be a blues and country mix.
The Stewpot does a lot of good for the community--countless people have been helped by their services. The newspaper Street Zine, also operates out of The Stewpot's offices. It is sold by the homeless.
Have a fruitful Friday,
Alice

"These Pigs Wanna Blow My House Down, Head Underground, To The Next Town."
Hello:
The lyric above is from Cypress Hill.
More specifically, it is from the song (a 1993 song!) described below.
I was listening to Cypress Hill's "Insane In The Brain" (Watch it here) because it came on the radio, about a couple of days ago.
And, I had a wonder-filled--almost--moment of awe, where I asked, are the kids still listening to this?
(Disclaimer: I am not advocating any disrespect to police officers).
Read the lyrics. They are from Metro Lyrics.
I watched a little bit of Emily Owens, MD.

This is how it worked out: I said I would watch it for silly reasons, and I did.
Keep it simple, please.

Three Times A Day: Insane Courage
What could you do with Insane Courage 3 times a day?
I got this from an e-mail received from The Goals Guy. So, definitely not original.
But I did want to share the message.
THE END.
Thank you for reading.

I've Got Moves You've Never Seen
I am re posting a video. It was one of the most popular posts. That is why I am re posting it. Some firefighters in Newport decided to dance to Soulja Boy in front of their fire truck.
It is definitely one of the more popular posts.
The title is a reference to the movie My Best Friend's Wedding, in which Julia Roberts states, "I've got moves you've never seen!"
The End!
