The picture, my friends!!

the picture above was taken outside of The Bridge (homeless shelter) on Corsicana Street in downtown Dallas. The barbed wire fencing belongs to Hines Nut Company. It is supposed to be a picture of Reunion Tower but you cannot see it very well.

Before You Read This, Please Go Back and Read The Other 101 Posts!!

Hi Loyal Readers:

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, I can feel complete while writing this blog.
I was inspired yesterday by a couple of writers. I went to a Creative Writing class at The Bridge (1818 Corsicana), a homeless shelter in Dallas, to help out. A bunch of people there were writing stories, songs or other writings. This guy, Jeremy, (maybe in his late 20s)read parts of a novel he wrote and it was really funny (yes, I am using italics too much. Go get your own blog if you do not like it). Anyway, I was just inspired by everyone writing and the fact that some people shared what they wrote.
I had more to say that I wrote down in a notebook but I forgot some of it, and its getting past my bedtime (bedtime just for tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! exclamation mark overkill.)
Its still super hot. Today I had an eye doctor appointment at 1:20 p.m. AND I was still rushing to get out of the house before I left, eating breakfast in the car ( a jam sandwich if you must know). (And, I woke up at a normal time). Is this sad or just the way that everyday life gets????????????? Blogging was part of the problem. Damn blog!!!!
Back to the part about it being super hot. The heat casts a sad tone on many people, I feel, especially in the middle of the day and when it has been hot for many days in a row.
Is the heat in Dallas punishment from God??????????????????????????????? question mark overkill. I guess he will not answer!
I'm writing a new short story. It is about a couple, Jamie and Max, and also about a BURGUNDY SCARF. Now, go write!!!!!!
I'm wearing jelly bracelets.
Trying to be my most AUTHENTIC self,
Stay chill,
Alice

This is my 101st Post! Go celebrate.

This is my 101st post. Whoo. Whoo!!
going to do a post in a little bit.

How Did I End up Living In A Place Where it Gets So Hot??

Hi Gentle Readers:

A question to the world, since you know everything ... How did I ever end up living in a place where it gets to be 101 degrees and 110 degrees sometimes?? And in a neighborhood with mostly retired people?? Back to the original question. How does ANYONE "end up" where they are?

Yesterday there was a guy (maybe in his early 20s with a funny haircut) putting little flyers on peoples' cars near Barnes and Noble and I asked him what the flyer was. He said it was something that would explain "The Mystery of Life!" and "Why we're all here." For a brief moment I was thinking, Phew!!!! After 32 Years, I finally get to find out! This must have been what I was waiting for all along! I read it and it contained all super-religious writings. I did not find out anything new or revealing. Bummer.

Rod Stewart is coming to concert and I do not think I will be going. I will sing Maggie May to myself.
Go discover life's mysteries. And drink a Jolt soda. I cannot think of any more funny foods!
Um, stay gentle, readers.
Gotta go ponder how I got here.
Um, bye.

My Next Assignment: The Palms Beer Express. Se Solicita Senoritas.

Hi Loyal, Idiosyncratic Readers (Look it up if you do not know--Quick, there's a dictionary nearby!):

There is a place called The Palms Beer Express on Northwest Highway (West Dallas), and outside they have a sign that says in BIG letters, "Se Solicita Senoritas 18 + ." This translates to "Hiring Girls 18 +."
It is not a pretty place from the outside, mind you. I am thinking of going undercover and trying to become a "senorita" just to see what it is like so I can do a story for this blog. It would be an NDH Exclusive.

Have I told you yet that this blog is composed of 100% NATURAL Ingredients?? Do not read Arianna Huffington's blog or Malcolm Gladwell's blog. You will get a greater benefit by reading my blog. Plus, your day will be brightened.
Well, have to go for now. Overheard in Mc Donald's yesterday ( A flirty old couple was sitting across from me -- they were both nicely dressed. The woman had white hair and the man had no hair. It sounded like they were on a first date):
Woman: I like your shirt.
Man: Thank you.
Woman: Did you send away for it or something?
Man: No, I don't do that!

Both of them laughed hysterically. I was laughing to myself.

You are Sucked Into Reading My Post. You Cannot Turn Away.

Hi:

I'm doing my Sly blog, aren't you glad???????

How come every leasing agent (or apartment staff member) I meet looks like a 12th grader who is trying to look like a grown-up? I am talking about the girls.

I spent an hour yesterday in Chick Fil a filling out an apartment application. This seems to be my new favorite hobby: sitting in Chick Fil A doing work or filling out applications, or calling about jobs.

Been listening to an 80s compilation CD I have. It has a good song by Pat Benatar. And other songs!!!!!!! Yay, its back to the 80s with Martha Quinn.

I have been going on facebook too much. It is not really too much, but I have chilled out the last couple of days and I'm glad I did!!!

Peace.
Stay chillaxed.

Target and ... You have to read to find out !!!!!!!

Hi Gentle Readers:

I am such a bargain hunter. I went to Target (Tar Jay) and got 2 pairs of sunglasses for $10. Then I had a weird check-out experience.

The Check-Out guy, Gavin, looked like somebody you would see at a motorcycle bar. This was not the only reason the checking-out experience was weird.

Lady behind me was buying a huge assortment of the "Boost" drink and a Sex and the City DVD, with the DVD case turned on its bottom side.

Super tired and tired of baking, ache-ing heat!!!!!!!!!!

Love,

Alice

Been meaning to blog for a couple of days. This is my Delicious Title!

Dear Readers:
Im Back, and always unstoppable!

I'm using apostrophes less frequently lately when I use the word "I'm." I know this is confusing but it's faster that way.

Ok just writing fast right now. Went to Tom Thumb (grocery store) yesterday to see if they were hiring (I was told, Yes, they are always hiring SMILING FACES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Next I had to buy some Hot Pockets, and I asked this guy that worked there to help me. I asked if he liked working there and he gave a more honest answer than I expected. He said, "It has its advantages and disadvantages. Some of the customers..." and then he rolled his eyes. When I go to the grocery store I always see grumpy people so that must be what he means.

Well, going to go for now. I am reading Unaccustomed Earth by Jhumpa Lahiri. And also a book called Guerrilla Publicity (forgot who it is by --there are 3 authors). I am hoping to get publicity for my homeless magnets.

Love yourself.
Peace and Love (I sound like a hippie but who cares?),

Who's Bad??? You're Bad. But You Already Knew That.

Dear Loyal Readers:

Who's Bad? You're Bad!

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, here is my little Tribute to Michael Jackson (Yes, it's a little late but better late than never!):
Michael, your moves were great and Stylin' and I will always remember your songs following me through different eras of my life. My sister had your Thriller album (yes, the album, not the tape or CD). I used to be in awe of your dancing. I'll do the Moonwalk for you.

Go and rent Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas if you have not seen it. It's a funny, if Bizarre, movie. Johnny Depp is awesome. Yes, I know he has a new movie out (Public Enemies - Hey, did PUBLIC ENEMY do the soundtrack for the movie?) but this movie is also good.
Props to Hunter S. Thompson, who wrote the book and lived the life that the movie (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas) is based on.

Happy 4th of July,
Peace and Love,
Sweating and Loathing in Houston (Why wasn't this ever a movie title???),
