crabby chillsauce, yahoo! pants (don't wear) and faux fox

I am going on a trip (to England) today, and my parents are being stressed about the trip. The other day my dad was stressed because my mom hijacked the plans, cancelled the rental car and decided to buy train tickets for everyone. They always get like this before a big trip or big event. I am glad I am going on the trip, but their stressed-ness makes me say, "whoa! I don't want your crabby chillsauce to make me stressed!!" Ok, 'nuff said.
The other day I was in CVS and this guy (maybe in his early-to-mid-
20s) walked in with pajama pants with the Yahoo! drink logo on them. This reminded me that I have a Yahoo! drink at home that I have not tried yet. But I digress. NOTE TO GUYS ( I would underline if I knew how): Do not wear your pajama pants to the drugstore, not even if they say Yahoo! on them. I think he also had a matching shirt.
I have not received my economic stimulus check from the IRS yet. I called them the other day but they put me on hold for a really long time and I need to call back. HEY IRS: can I please get my economic stimulus check so my finances can be stimulated????????????????????????????????????????
I bought the Faux Fox CD, All That Remains and am slathering over it. Really good, I was listening to it last night while I was packing. Here is their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/fisforfaux. The CD only has a few songs ( I think it has 8 or so) but it's still good.

I need to change my hair. (interesting tidbit for y'all).

super chillsauce and Faux Fox--You are hypnotized into being addicted to this blog

doing some yoga trying to think of a super chillsauce blog for y'all. HOld on to your hats:
On Sat. (Sept. 13) I went to Good REcords on Lower Greenville to see the Faux Fox show. Also on the ticket was Gun Gun--Darktown Strutters was supposed to be there but they didn't show up because of the remnants of Hurricane Ike.
Wisely, Good Rec's handed out cans of Coors Original. However, in my opinion, it would have been more delicious to have a keg. At past events like this, they've had kegs.
Faux Fox rocked the unique record retailer, and lead singer George Quartz did whatever it took to get the crowd groovin'--including writhing on the floor. He wore a large patchwork shirt with a mysterious hood the whole time. And yellow loafers (the loafers were kind of grungy-looking). Julius Preston on keyboard, Edward Setina on bass, and Wesley Crusher on drum kit also rocked it out. IN between sets, Quartz encouraged Preston to do slam poetry but he refused. I'm planning on getting their new album (it's on my To-do list).
Gun GUn was ok. Lisa Hardaway and Ashley Cromeens comprise the group. I liked the second song they played (don't know the name of it). There were some awkward moments in the store while Cromeens adjusted her keyboard. The crowd didn't seem too into their show, maybe they were slatheringly waiting for Faux Fox. At the end I asked Hardaway if they had any CDs and she said they did not have anything recorded yet.
Overall, 'twas a good night. At the end of the night this guy who had been taking photos the whole time asked if I had a Flick'r site and I said no. He gave me a card with his Flick'r site on it, and I was thinking to myself: MUST GET A FLICK'R SITE (another thing on my To-Do list).
Please check out this site: www.jakeandamir.com. It is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo funny.
Oh, and I like the phrase super chillsauce. There should be a whole TV station devoted to the phrase super chillsauce. Just a station that would show the wonderful phrase over and over. I would watch it frequently. Ok, enough blabbing.
Bow down to Faux Fox,
Try to work super chillsauce into your normal everyday conversation,

Nina Simone

Tuesday I was in the dentist's office, and my dentist has a painting of black heroes on the wall. I was looking at the figure of Sojourner Truth--when I was younger ( much younger) I read a book about her and I liked it and was really inspired about her. Anyway I am thinking of starting my own business and Sojourner seemed to be saying, "you can do it!!" Is that cheesy??? Oh well, I always have weird moments like that.
Well, please go buy NINA SIMONE, How It Feels to Be Free. Or the blues gods will be mad.
peace,
bbb

I wish the dental hygenist or gas station guy or Tom Thumb checker-outer could tell me the secret to happiness. I find myself thinking this when I am out and about. yay, now you know my innermost thoughts.
trying to be my most authentic self, tired, and have toastmasters tomorrow. Why do they get up so early? I don't know but its good for me so i don't care.

2 quotes

Here are 2 quotes that I like: (Both of them can be found at the beginning of the book Citizen Girl by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus).

I'm not using block quotes because its faster this way.

"... I went to my adviser and told her of the fears that were choking me. 'You feel like an imposter?' she asked. 'Don't worry about it. All smart women feel that way.' "

--Peggy Orenstein

"I wanna be a cowboy, baby."

--Kid Rock (big ups to Kid Rock for being from Detroit. I think he is from Romeo).

Anyway I had some other stuff I was going to write but I am tired so you will just have to miss out. I'm so cheeky. BTW, this is Labor Day. Most of the people I have seen LABORING have been Mexican. I think they deserve a day off too. (They as in we, I am Mexican too). At least I got the day off.
Go buy Coldplay.
I love my insouciance,
bbb
p.s. I do not like Sarah Palin. I am going to put this in my political blog. http://wwwpacksapunch.blogspot.com.
