I'm back...Mmmmmmmmmmmmm .... this Yoplait is SO good, I want to stop watching dumb Yoplait commercials.

ok, eating Yoplait for your info.

I am not writing a long post, but I was listening to the radio this morning and heard that song "One Headlight" by the Wallflowers. I really like that song. Is that CHEESY????????????????????????????????????? question mark overkill.

I am now on Facebook. Yay? Nay? I don't know yet.
I have gotten two Facebook Disses (that term should be in the dictionary). I thought Facebook was supposed to be about social networking and RECONNECTING. My Bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted you to know, I flossed last week. And I tried a new type of floss. I think I will floss more often.

Remember: CAUTION, the contents of this blog are EXTREMELY HOT.
Peace,

Curly Fries and Little Joy should bring you a Little Joy

I went to A & W the other day and could not get curly fries. THis is sad and disturbing. Are there no more Curly Fry-A & Ws left???? Curly fry lovers, unite and rise up!!!!!!!    Fabrizio Moretti (drummer for the Strokes), Binki Shapiro and Rodrigo Amarante (collectively, Little Joy) played in Houston last night at Warehouse Live. I like their music, mostly reggae-inspired, guitar-laden tunes. Binki's voice was funky, almost like Sara Burellis (sp.) or Janis Joplin. The place was packed, with the Youth of America there. Fabrizio signed my album outside the back entrance. On their album, Little Joy, I like track 2, BRAND NEW START. I also like track 4, No One's Better Sake.
It was an awesome concert--so bow down to Little Joy ...
That's all for now, kids. Be thankful -- for green lights and cowboy boots (and whatever else you are thankful for). And call your mother.
Bow down to curly fries,
Chillax,

Coldplay Is Frighteningly Good Live

Dear gentle readers:
Welcome to my blog, where there is SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.
I saw Coldplay at the American Airlines Center last night (Nov. 19). Plenty 'o fun observations: miniskirts, boots and scarves seemed to be the popular items of the evening; my Viva La Vida (name of their album)T shirt was $35; i sat in the nosebleed seats but still had an OK view; the first two acts I didn't pay much attention to bc I was hungrily waiting for Coldplay; the first act was called Sleepercar, from El Paso; i had a hot dog and a Coke while I was waiting.
Getting hungry so I'm going to make this post MUCH shorter than I wanted to (darn necessity for food). Coldplay played for about 1 hour, 45 minutes. During several songs Chris Martin skipped around the stage in a cute leather jacket and jeans (although my view was limited by being in Section 327). Coldplay did more new-album songs than older stuff. They played the two songs I wanted to hear the most, "42" and "Viva La Vida," off their new album. During one of the early songs, Martin gave a plug to "Medieval Times" (N. Stemmons Fwy) restaurant, saying it was near his hotel. OK, I'm there.
You should buy Jimmy Dean's Breakfast Bowls, the pancakes and sausage one. They are delicious. Only takes a few minutes in the microwave.
TARGET Tip of the day: I got some legwarmers there for $7.99. I got two pairs.
I am going to write about my Writing Adventure soon.
For you die-hard Coldplay fans, "you didn't get to heaven but you made it close,"
Peace,
bbb

its already been br-OUGHT, huge snap in a circle

Hello blogger friends:
At the laundromat on Saturday, my mom and I met a Washing Machine Nazi. FYI, it was the laundromat on Montfort Drive and Alpha Road, so those of you in Dallas can have a mental picture.
As we were about to put our washing in the machine, this woman next to us (from here on to be known as W.M.N.) said, "I'm fixin' to use those two machines, so you have to find another one."
My mom said something to the effect of, "Well, I got here first, so I am going to use these machines."
W.M.N.: "Well, if you get your clothes in there first, you can have that machine."
We were washing some rugs. While my mom went to get the rugs from the car, I guarded the machines protectively, during which time W.M.N mumbled phrases to the effect of: "they think they run shit," "good thing there's a police station around here," (there isn't that I know of), and "I'm gonna slap one of these hos."
My mom returned with the rugs, and we victoriously used the machines without so much as a peep from W.M.N. So that was our laundromat experience--be careful about getting beat up next time you go to the laundromat.

I've been listening to MC Lyte, Bad As I Wanna B, lately. (I think it is from
1996, part of my old collection.) One good quote from track 2 is: "Have u ever ever, in your long-living life, seen a woman rock the mike like the one called The Lyte?" Everyone should have this CD in their repertoire to brighten their day. If you do have it in your repertoire (congrats) , you should listen to it over and over. just don't over do it with the dancing in your car.

This is National Novel Writing Month. If you want to find out more, you can go to www.nanowrimo.org. I'm not writing an entire novel but I am doing some writing.

Try to work "Shucky Ducky," into your normal everyday conversation (I'll explain why later),
Still a recessionista,
Bow down to MC Lyte (Shucky Ducky!),

toastmasters moanin'

4 cups of coffee so far today:
ok, I went to my toastmasters meeting this morning. It ends at 8 a.m. After I leave, I always feel: tired, sallow (I don't know what this means except that I have low energy), and like the day has too much promise because I've already done so much before 8 a.m. Too much promise that I can't live up to?? I'm not sure. As I walk out, I like to see the eager beavers eating at the IHOP at 8 a.m. I like to see what they are eating. This girl was eating french fries at 8 a.m. (Now you have the scoop). A woman who shall remain nameless at the toastmasters meeting was wearing a shirt that looked like it was from a garage sale. If you are a regular reader and in toastmasters, don't worry, it wasn't you. The other day I looked at a dress at a yard sale, but I didn't buy it.
My neighbor downstairs creeps me out--I haven't been nice to him lately, but should you be nice to someone who is creeping you out??? I'm sorry if he reads this and is offended, but I should be able to live in peace. I'm saddened that I'm leaving my apartment, and i'm leaving bc I DO need to move back home, but he doesn't make it any more pleasant. ok, maybe this blog is a lame way to express how I feel about my neighbor, but I don't care.
going to go get ready to move,

in honor of Wes Berggren

Hi:
Yesterday I lit a candle in honor of Wes Berggren, who died in my apartment nine years ago. He died nine years ago yesterday. He was a guitarist in Tripping Daisy. I lit a candle to honor him--then I sung a little bit of the song "I've Got a Girl," even though I don't know all the words. ("I've got a girl, she'll argue anytime," -- that's my favorite line). So that was my little tribute. Nothing mysterious happened, but after I lit the candle a frame with a Van Gogh print on it fell eerily off the table (gasp).

I know it's long, but if you want to find out more about Wes Berggren, you can type in this site:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tripping_Daisy#Wes_Berggren_and_Tripping_Daisy

I also lit a candle (outside) for my apartment because I am sad that I am leaving. The candle was in honor of my apartment and my time there. A black SUV was driving by and I decided it was my witness to my goodbye-candle.

um, thats all I have now. The other day i was in Starbucks (in uptown, no I don't go to uptown all the time and probably won't be going for a while), and this guy reminded me of one of my characters in the short story I am writing. Except he had a loud, very annoying laugh and my character does not have a loud laugh. So my character must be cooler.

ok, that's all blogger kids,
Sing "I've Got a Girl" in the shower, or not in the shower,
(I'll start--"I've got a girl, she wears high heels.")
chillax,
alice
