Dear Loyal Readers:
I am just going to write this blog post fast. Sorry if there are no paragraph breaks. I was in the hospital for 5 (5!) days. On Wednesday I passed out, fell and scraped my chin badly enough for stitches. I was taking a nap when this first happened (hmmmph! my nap was interrupted), so that is why it is confusing. I was only out for a couple of minutes. What I remember: laying down to take a nap, feeling v. tired and exhausted, and then all of a sudden my parents are around me talking about which hospital to take me to. All I remember about the paramedics is that one of them was cute. The doctors said that I passed out bc of low sodium. Being in the hospital was similar to being in Huntsville (prison in Texas for foreign readers): I could not leave for any reason, and Saturday I had to ask special permission to go to the hospital cafeteria and eat with my Dad. The doctors had me hooked up to a telemetry monitor so they could monitor my heart and when I wanted to take a shower, the nurse had to notify someone. Gee, I will miss someone asking if I've had any Bowel Movement each day.
The food was ok. More variety was needed.
I also had WRITER'S BLOCK while I was in the hospital. I was trying to work on a story. Luckily the WRITER'S BLOCK passed when I read the paper or thought more about my story (actually a Screenplay).
Penelope Cruz turned 35 today. Yay, she is older than me.
Agatha Christie Quote: "An archaeologist is the best husband any woman can have: the older she gets, the more interested he is in her."
I wore legwarmers today.
Stay away from hospitals if you can,
Alice
xo
p.s. Since the hospital incident I am trying to take a second look at all parts of my life. By 2nd look I mean a fresh look, a new look. I don't know if this is working but I am TRYING.
