Curly Fries and Little Joy should bring you a Little Joy

I went to A & W the other day and could not get curly fries. THis is sad and disturbing. Are there no more Curly Fry-A & Ws left???? Curly fry lovers, unite and rise up!!!!!!!    Fabrizio Moretti (drummer for the Strokes), Binki Shapiro and Rodrigo Amarante (collectively, Little Joy) played in Houston last night at Warehouse Live. I like their music, mostly reggae-inspired, guitar-laden tunes. Binki's voice was funky, almost like Sara Burellis (sp.) or Janis Joplin. The place was packed, with the Youth of America there. Fabrizio signed my album outside the back entrance. On their album, Little Joy, I like track 2, BRAND NEW START. I also like track 4, No One's Better Sake.
It was an awesome concert--so bow down to Little Joy ...
That's all for now, kids. Be thankful -- for green lights and cowboy boots (and whatever else you are thankful for). And call your mother.
Bow down to curly fries,
Chillax,

Coldplay Is Frighteningly Good Live

Dear gentle readers:
Welcome to my blog, where there is SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.
I saw Coldplay at the American Airlines Center last night (Nov. 19). Plenty 'o fun observations: miniskirts, boots and scarves seemed to be the popular items of the evening; my Viva La Vida (name of their album)T shirt was $35; i sat in the nosebleed seats but still had an OK view; the first two acts I didn't pay much attention to bc I was hungrily waiting for Coldplay; the first act was called Sleepercar, from El Paso; i had a hot dog and a Coke while I was waiting.
Getting hungry so I'm going to make this post MUCH shorter than I wanted to (darn necessity for food). Coldplay played for about 1 hour, 45 minutes. During several songs Chris Martin skipped around the stage in a cute leather jacket and jeans (although my view was limited by being in Section 327). Coldplay did more new-album songs than older stuff. They played the two songs I wanted to hear the most, "42" and "Viva La Vida," off their new album. During one of the early songs, Martin gave a plug to "Medieval Times" (N. Stemmons Fwy) restaurant, saying it was near his hotel. OK, I'm there.
You should buy Jimmy Dean's Breakfast Bowls, the pancakes and sausage one. They are delicious. Only takes a few minutes in the microwave.
TARGET Tip of the day: I got some legwarmers there for $7.99. I got two pairs.
I am going to write about my Writing Adventure soon.
For you die-hard Coldplay fans, "you didn't get to heaven but you made it close,"
Peace,
bbb

its already been br-OUGHT, huge snap in a circle

Hello blogger friends:
At the laundromat on Saturday, my mom and I met a Washing Machine Nazi. FYI, it was the laundromat on Montfort Drive and Alpha Road, so those of you in Dallas can have a mental picture.
As we were about to put our washing in the machine, this woman next to us (from here on to be known as W.M.N.) said, "I'm fixin' to use those two machines, so you have to find another one."
My mom said something to the effect of, "Well, I got here first, so I am going to use these machines."
W.M.N.: "Well, if you get your clothes in there first, you can have that machine."
We were washing some rugs. While my mom went to get the rugs from the car, I guarded the machines protectively, during which time W.M.N mumbled phrases to the effect of: "they think they run shit," "good thing there's a police station around here," (there isn't that I know of), and "I'm gonna slap one of these hos."
My mom returned with the rugs, and we victoriously used the machines without so much as a peep from W.M.N. So that was our laundromat experience--be careful about getting beat up next time you go to the laundromat.

I've been listening to MC Lyte, Bad As I Wanna B, lately. (I think it is from
1996, part of my old collection.) One good quote from track 2 is: "Have u ever ever, in your long-living life, seen a woman rock the mike like the one called The Lyte?" Everyone should have this CD in their repertoire to brighten their day. If you do have it in your repertoire (congrats) , you should listen to it over and over. just don't over do it with the dancing in your car.

This is National Novel Writing Month. If you want to find out more, you can go to www.nanowrimo.org. I'm not writing an entire novel but I am doing some writing.

Try to work "Shucky Ducky," into your normal everyday conversation (I'll explain why later),
Still a recessionista,
Bow down to MC Lyte (Shucky Ducky!),
