in mourning

Dear Blogger Friends:
I am in mourning because CD World closed. I went there Sat. (Greenville Avenue store) to get a CD cleaned (my Faux Fox CD) and to get an oasis CD and it was closed; there was a sign on the door saying they had closed for good. This is unfair. I am going to be mourning for a while. I liked both stores--I think I liked the Greenville Avenue store more, though. Dallas will be lacking an important institution forever. R.I.P. CD World.

I went to the state fair the other day. I'm a funnel cake eating mama, and I also tried Ropa Vieja con Arroz Blanco (meat with rice) from the Cuban stand. Both items I tried at the fair were delicious. I didn't know what to get from the stand so i got this.

I went to Mi Escuelita Monday (preschool where I sub), and during lunch I overheard a conversation between one teacher (don't know her name) and Miss Brazil. The teacher who remains nameless said that she already has one child and that she got her tubes "tied, cut and burned" so that she doesn't have any more children. She elaborated more but that is the main crux of what she was saying. Nice lunchtime conversation. Good thing I was only eating Lunchables.

I saw 80 Tony Romo jerseys at the state fair the other day. Also, Jessica Simpson has a new perfume, "Fancy." I saw on ET tonight that she said she wants it to smell like a "southern night." Is this what Tony Romo smells at night???????????????????????????????????????????????? I will not be buying her perfume or going near it.

The Coldplay concert Nov. 19 at the American Airlines Center is sold out. I found out last week. It sucks, I have to look for tickets on Craigslist.
