hello blogger friends:
Has anyone seen the commercial played on NBC during the Olympics ... It contains a bad ripoff of the Michelle Branch song, "You're Everywhere to Me." I like the Michelle Branch song better. Poor Michelle Branch. And the commercial is so annoying, they play it every 2 seconds. Hey NBC: get a new commercial, it is not drawing in viewers. Maybe I am just noticing it a lot because I watched the opening ceremonies and they were playing it a lot then.
I've been praying a lot lately. I pray about everything. I'm like a praying machine. Hmmmmmm, I've always prayed but I have been doing it more the last few weeks. Our father, who art in heaven, forgive me for taking up so much of your time... I remember when I first learned that prayer I thought some parts of it were weird. "Forgive us our trespasses..." I was thinking, whats that supposed to mean? but now I understand.
I went to see Sheryl Crow and James Blunt in Houston on Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion (it was actually in The Woodlands). James Blunt came out first and he kicked ass. He had a large band with him and he gave them props. I'm not the hugest fan in the world but I like that song, "You're Beautiful," which he sung that night, after dancing on top of his piano. Sheryl was also good, I did not like her outfit, she was wearing a sparkly jacket with a black vest underneath and jeans. She sang "All I Wanna Do," "Strong Enough," (not sure if that is the exact title) and "A Change Will Do You Good," the 3 songs I wanted to hear the most. She was really good and got the whole crowd moving (even the baby boomer in plaid shorts in front of me). There were lots of older people there in general. You should go see Sheryl and James if you get a chance. There was another group there but I cannot remember their name and did not see them. We had really good seats so that was cool.
Going to go for now, I have some praying to do.
Chillax (and please Chillax, it means Chill + relax),
Bow down to Sheryl Crow and James Blunt,
Still holding it down in the 75214,
