Just the Facts, Ma'am, Just The Facts.

Hi all:

I'm tired of lameness, and pure mean behavior. I cannot explain more right now. Well I could, but it's getting late. I'm blogging at midnight because I am tired of meanness.

I love my waxing girl. I went today to get an eyebrow wax and was glad bc she always does a good job.

Going to Chicago.

Give Love, Peace, Hope and Luck and all of your Talent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! exclamation mark overkill.

Do you know how the days blur together sometimes?????????? In the words of Janis Joplin: it doesn't matter what day it is, "it's all the same f****** day, man!!!"

Matching Hair Guys and S.G. Update

Hi Y'all:
On Tuesday I had the opportunity to view some matching hair guys (father and son, I think!)who came into the unnamed bookstore. The son is maybe in his late 50s and the father is probably in his late 70s or older. Both have longer hair (the older man has white hair, the younger man has graying hair), cut just above the shoulders, and it is thick and slicked back, Gangsta Style.
They look like Style Conscious Twins.

The older matching hair guy -- who often wears nice cowboy boots, sometimes from New Mexico -- has commented about the younger matching hair guy: "He likes to read. It's a good hobby to have." Truer words have never been spoken, Pardner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Exclamation mark overkill.

Writing class Update: A guy (we'll call him T.) in the writing class at The Bridge (homeless shelter--downtown Dallas) has written the beginning of a romance novel. He has everything about the book meticulously planned out, including what the cover will look like, who he will acknowledge in the acknowledgements when the book is published, and who is in the cast of characters. T. is very thorough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slutty Grandma Update: Also viewed another slutty grandma on Sunday. She was wearing way too much perfume. S.G. asked me if I had tried a lip-plumping lip gloss that we had at the cash register and I said that No, I had not yet perused that Angelina-Jolie inspired item.

Gotta go, there are Paths Not Yet Followed.

If You Are Reading This You Are An Excellent Reader and Blogging Groupie

Hi Gentle Readers:

To give you the report:

My yesterday (Thursday) included a slutty grandma, a big - haired, loud, Italian woman doing a book signing (but she did sign something nice on my book!!!!!), an old man who called himself a "Tyrannosaurus" because he did not use e-mail, a cute baby with blonde hair, and a cute Barista (at Starbucks) wearing a beret. Also a man in his late 50s (he was black) with a casual blonde wig on. This is all just the minute half of it.
Tune in next time for more reports of people sightings.
I would write more but for lack of time I'm just giving you these few sentences to ponder, in a satisfied way.

Go read your favorite magazine!! Thats an order. I'm still writing my short story on characters named Max and Jamie.
Namaste.

Love,
Alice

Totally Rad. Your surfboard is bitchin! I just wanted to write those things.

Hello, Smart and Wise and Refined Readers:

I'm reading Home by Marilynne Robinson (a novel). Its an exercise in discipline.
But, I want to finish the entire book so badly. Lately, in order to read or make headway in a book, I have to make a conscious effort to finish the book.
I have to read at stoplights, while brushing my teeth, and while at 7-11 getting a drink, just to read what feels like anything at all. How did I whip through books when I was 12 or 13?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? question mark overkill. When I read a book that I like (or when I am really into a book) it feels like a special treat, like something lucky has been bestowed upon me.
"Home" is good but much like reading Little House on the Prairie.

Yours truly,
Alice

Go Listen to Your Favorite R&B Classics (i.e. Johnny Gill and Boyz 2 Men)

Hi:
Yesterday during the course of calling about an apartment I met a weird guy on the phone (mario) who laughed when I told him the name of the bookstore where I work. This was after he said, "What kind of work do you do?" I am sure that working at Chase Crossing Apartments is so much more fulfilling.

Gotta go. Peace and love, blogging groupies. Oh, its the Sept. 11 Anniversary. I'm not sure if I am sad, angry or wanting to forget, so as not to get depressed.

Cha- ching.

I just wanted to say that.

Photo! Photo! Photo Obsession!

The picture above was taken of a flower in the parking lot of the On The Border restaurant on Knox Street (Uptown area) in Dallas. My blue car served as a lovely background. You cannot see the flower very well, but just imagine it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The picture was taken in late August.
Gotta be Audi 3000.

Bad Girl Blogging, on Coke

Hi:
Bad girl blogging, authentic and unapologetic: Since I'm in a hurry, going to call this microblogging while you, the reader, gets to have FUN figuring out what Im talking about.
Snippet #1: came home last night to find my mom had rearranged my entire room and frustratedly moved 1/2 of my crap to another room. So lame, moms.

Snippet #2: The other day (Friday) I pulled into 7-11, planning on happily getting gas. a woman pulled in behind me and honked maniacally. When I came out of the store, pleased with the purchase of my Big Gulp and food , she accosted me for five minutes, asking me why I did not move my car out of the way. I told her there were other gas pumps she could have used and asked why she wanted to have the discussion at all. Near the conclusion of our lovely exchange she told me it was "not thoughtful" of me to leave my car there when she wanted to use that gas pump. WTF. And, if you speak Spanish, she was Naca and Estupida. I think that there is a plague of grouchiness sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snippet #3: Going to write a short story on a guy (Moe) who works in a bookstore. Since customers tell him all kinds of juicy information, he is constantly recommending books to them. For every problem, he has the perfect book. And his suggestions work!! I'm still formulating the short story. You just got a preview.
Peace. I'm audi 3000, G.
Love,
Alice
