hello faithful readers:
I have been listening to The Rise and Fall of Ruby Woo, by the Puppini Sisters--actually I only listened to a couple of songs before the CD started skipping. so lame.
But there is a very good cover on there of Walk Like an Egyptian. You should all buy it. NOw. I mean now, now, now. Now. Besides I like their name. Their name kind of reminds me of puke (puke-ini sisters), but I like it anyway. It makes me wonder, how does one become a Puppini sister? Are they really sisters? I am perplexed by the Puppini sisters. Notice the alliteration.
I have been listening more to Coldplay, and I like track 4, "42." I have been listening to it over and over. Mostly in my car. As you have noticed, I drive a lot.
Enough wednesday blogging,
Get Low.
Go and buy The Puppini Sisters.
chillax,

Welcome to my little piece of the blogosphere. During your visits to my blog you will see postings sometimes about music. I will talk about my favorite artists. I will talk about events and places to go. Since I am currently living at home, I'm North Dallas Homegirl and weblogista (Yes, I've been cracking myself up for 8 years).

shorty got low
I'm going to start out this blog by telling you, devoted readers, that you should all listen to or buy the single "Low" by Flo-Ri-Da featuring T-Payne. The album is not out yet, so unfortunately you will have to buy the single right now. On the cover for the single, Flo-Ri-Da has a very LARGE tattoo, but you will have to buy the single to see what I mean. Yesterday I was stuck in nightmarish traffic and I blasted Low and it made my experience a little more pleasant. I'm going to look up the lyrics because I'm not sure if he's saying "boots with the spurs" or "boots with the fur" in the song. But I think it's "boots with the fur."
The lead singer from Tripping Daisy died in my apartment, on Oct. 28, 1999, from an overdose. EDG (read previous blog if you do not know what this means) is not creeped out by this, in fact she finds it interesting in a gory sort of way. I'm claiming it as my little piece of rock history. Wonder if anything eerie will happen on Oct. 28?? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm???
On a final note, you all must buy the new Coldplay album, called Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends (don't know why they titled it that because that is not QUITE an accurate translation--maybe Chris Martin is trying to confuse us). I haven't listened to it enough to have a favorite song yet--but it still kicks ass. i have also been listening to Coldplay's last album at home a lot recently.
I heart Coldplay.

happy father's day
happy father's day to anyone reading this...
bbb is back. I am no longer North Dallas HOmegirl, I'm an East Dallas girl now. I moved to a new apartment, in the Munger Place area. I'm digging it.
Now to get a little toasty:
I joined the Toastmasters back in March. The group I joined is the Executive Toastmasters, they meet in Addison at the IHOP at 7 a.m. Wednesday mornings (its early, I know). They are a great group, anyone who wants to improve their public speaking should join. If you're not in Dallas, look for one in your area. They have them everywhere. NDH/EDG even spoke about this blog at one of the meetings. toastmasters rocks.
okay, gotta make this short--I'm diggin' Amy Winehouses'album, Back to Black. (Ok, I know it came out like a year ago or something, but who cares?) I esp. like track 2, You Know I'm No Good. Good to jam to in the car, as I have been doing.
I also have been doing some work for US Weekly, stalking Tony and Jessica. they are very stealthy.
Bow down to Amy winehouse and the strawberry shortcake ice creams (not sure who makes them) from 7-11.
And bow down to 102.1 The Edge bc I won tickets to see the Alkaline Trio at the House of Blues July 22,
NDH/EDG
